I’m just writing a quick update today about a couple of things. New Logo You may have noticed I have a new logo. My lovely sister-in-law Abbi designed it for me. Usually she designs cards and fabrics so I highly recommend you take a look at her work on Etsy and on Instagram. Yarn News I’m in the process of updating the Etsy site with all my yarn. I also dyed a significant quantity over the last few days so… Read More »Brand New Logo
Happy New Year everyone! I hope it finds you happy and well. I thought it would be a good time for a quick update about what’s going on here at Bluebell Yarns. Bluebell Yarns had a rather successful 2018, with a couple of major events standing out. The first was the ‘Tits Out Collective’ yarn which raised a £108 for Dogs for Good. The second was the ever popular Advent Calendars. Here’s a peek at what one of them included:… Read More »Happy New Year!
I’ve currently got a 15% off wedding celebration sale on all full skeins of yarn at bluebellyarns.etsy.com. Plus, if you use the code SHIPFREE18 you’ll get free UK 2nd Class shipping too! On 29th September I’m getting married! I thought a good way to celebrate would be to hold a sale on all full skeins of yarn in my shop. The sale will last until 6th October. Any orders made between 26th September and 7th October won’t be posted until Monday… Read More »Wedding Celebration Sale

The funny thing about being an indie dyer is that you have to think about things far ahead of when you want to. Currently, this means Christmas. Due to the success of my Yarn Advent Calendars last year, and the fact that there’s a rather major event happening for me in September, this year I’m starting early. I’ve spoken to the mill and they’ve agreed to wind the mini skeins for me which will save me so much time.… Read More »Thinking about Yarn Advent Calendars
This is only a quick post today to tell you about something. Next week, on Monday 23rd July at 9am (BST), change is coming. I’ve been thinking of it a bit as a relaunch, so you’ll notice quite a few changes. I’m overhauling my website and my social media. I’m also doing some price restructuring. This means if you want to buy any of my yarn at its current prices, do it before 9am (BST) on Monday 23rd! I am… Read More »Change is coming
£3 of every sale of my #titsoutcollective yarn is going to Dogs for Good. £1 of every other sale of yarn throughout July (apart from mini skeins) is also going to Dogs for Good. I thought I’d write a little about why I’ve chosen to support them. As well as dyeing yarn, I have a part time job in a restaurant. Over a year ago, maybe two, I met a man. I’m not going to mention names. He used a… Read More »Dogs For Good
The #titsoutcollective yarn is now released! You can see mine here, and everyone else’s here. Follow #titsoutcollective on social media. Check back here tomorrow at 7pm to read about why I selected my chosen charity, Dogs For Good. My ‘If I wanted exposure, I’ll get my tits out (but I’ll need assistance)’ yarn is initially available as a small batch. When this sells out, I will open pre-orders. I will aim to get pre-orders dyed and shipped out within two… Read More »Charity yarn is now live! (#titsoutcollective)
On 1st July at 12pm (BST), something special is going to happen. I, along with over 200 others (the #titsoutcollective), will be releasing special yarns, patterns, bags and notions, with the aim of raising money for various charities. You can read more details at Countess Ablaze but here is a brief explanation. Back in March, Countess Ablaze was asked to provide yarn for a ‘charity’ event for nothing but exposure. In response, she dyed two special limited colourways, one of which… Read More »Charity Yarn Release (#titsoutcollective)
I’ve finally found it! I’ve finally got my hands on some British (well, mostly, more on that below), non-superwash, no nylon sock yarn! I say mostly British, because it isn’t 100%. After much thought and consideration, I have decided that this is a good enough compromise for now until I find something better. The new sock yarn is a blend of 50% British Mohair and roughly 25% British Falkland Islands/25% South American Corriedale. As I said before, it contains no… Read More »Sock Yarn and a Newsletter
