Design Tweaks & Product Pages Information

You may have noticed that I’ve made a few changes to the design of the website. I’ve not moved anything around so you can still find what you’re looking for in the same places, but I have hopefully made the site a little easier to use. I’ve updated the fonts and a couple of the colours The main change I’ve made is to the product pages. I’ve added a table to each yarn page so that you can see all… Read More »Design Tweaks & Product Pages Information

January Competition Winner

Using the wonderful random.org I’ve drawn the January competition winner to design your own colourway. The winner is… Evie, who contacted me via email: “Picture this countryside scene. Big round bales of golden yellow straw in a field, green hedgerows line the field and a cloudy grey sky above it….. Maybe with a wee bit of blue peeking through here and there. I’ve yet to see a yarn reflecting this scene, and I think it would be beautiful.” Congratulations Evie!… Read More »January Competition Winner

Finally Open

Bluebell Yarns is finally open. After a bit of a delay, you can now buy yarn from my Etsy shop here. As well as the normal yarn, I’m working on a bit of a surprise that will be revealed over the next few days. Watch this space!

The Beginning of Bluebell Yarns

For the last few weeks I have been dyeing, skeining and generally playing with yarn. All that is because on the 24th August 2015, Bluebell Yarns is opening. I have been knitting for several  years now, and I’ve been trying to buy British yarn for a good portion of that. A few months ago I found out how superwash yarn is treated. I decided I didn’t like that, so then tried to buy yarn that hadn’t been treated, as well as… Read More »The Beginning of Bluebell Yarns
