My yarn is in a new eBook!

My yarn is in a new eBook!

KNITSONIK & Friends: Colour to Knit explores colouring-in as a fun and playful aid to stranded colourwork design. There are four stranded colourwork projects from four different designers for you to make, and each one comes with enabling resources designed to build your knowledge and experience of playing with colour in your knitting.

Patricia’s scarf provides a framework for turning memories into a bold and striking palette, while Nolwenn’s fingerless mitts celebrate the colour possibilities of the random variegated yarn that languishes in almost every knitter’s stash. Felix’s matching cowl, hat and mittens inspire new ways of devising and conceiving gradients, while Bev’s statement wrap presents a massive knitterly canvas for joyous colour play. Each project comes with printable colouring-in pages, essays and practical experiments to try out on paper and on your needles.

Follow the journey through this book to discover a range of creative approaches and use all the tools provided to enjoy making these projects – and making them your own.

This project started life as an open competition in the KNITSONIK Ravelry group and grew into an absorbing and international endeavour. KNITSONIK & Friends: Colour to Knit reflects its creators’ shared love of playfulness, colouring in, creativity, and stranded colourwork. The designers are Patricia Kimmitt, JudithJayne Design (Canada); Nolwenn Pensivy (France); Felicity (Felix) Ford, KNITSONIK, and Beverley Dott, Fair City Knits, (UK). The eBook has been conceived, designed, illustrated and produced by KNITSONIK LTD. and you can buy it from the KNITSONIK online shop.
