This yarn is extra from the third British Yarn Selection Box: DK Blends.
I sourced this yarn directly from Partridge Farm, who keep a small flock of Portland sheep on the Kent/Surrey Border. The cream coloured Portland wool is blended and spun with shades of brown Alpaca by the Natural Fibre Company in Devon. This gives the gorgeous gentle brown shade found in the finished yarn.
I would recommend this yarn for all sorts of projects including garments and accessories. I wouldn’t recommend it for sensitive skin but anyone who is used to wearing wool shouldn’t have a problem. I don’t recommend this yarn for socks.
Each DK weight 50g skein is approximately 110m in length.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
Please note that while all efforts have been made to provide an accurate colour representation, colours may vary on different monitors and devices so the shade may not be identical to what you see on your screen.
