Birthday Bash – Bluefaced Leicester DK

Birthday Bash is a limited edition hand-dyed 100g skein of DK weight yarn. It is a variegated yarn dyed in a range of pastel rainbow colours. This yarn is a business birthday special. It will only be available during 2025, and may be re-released for future business birthdays.

The yarn pictured is the 4ply version of the Bluefaced Leicester base, DK will look very similar.

The base yarn is 100% non-superwash Bluefaced Leicester. It was prepared and spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset. The yarn is soft and and has a shine from the natural lustre of Bluefaced Leicester wool.

I would recommend this yarn for all sorts of projects including garments and accessories. Most people would be comfortable wearing this wool next to their skin. I don’t recommend this yarn for socks.

Each DK weight 100g skein is approximately 230m in length.

The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
