Bluebells at Night is a hand-dyed 100g skein of DK weight yarn. It is a variegated yarn dyed navy with subtle flashes of green and purple.
The base yarn is a blend of non-superwash 40% British Bluefaced Leicester, 40% British Shetland and 20% British Alpaca. It was prepared and spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset. The yarn is naturally grey giving any colour dyed over it a wonderful depth. The three fibres used to create this blend combine to make a yarn with some wonderful characteristics. The BFL provides lustre and bulk. The Alpaca adds to this as well as supplying some drape. Finally, the Shetland wool adds a woolliness and structure to the mix.
I would recommend this yarn for all sorts of projects including garments and accessories. It has fantastic stitch definition with a little halo.
Each DK weight 100g skein is approximately 230m in length.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
Please note that while all efforts have been made to provide an accurate colour representation, colours may vary on different monitors and devices so the shade may not be identical to what you see on your screen.
