British Bluebell – Bluefaced Leicester 4ply

British Bluebell is a hand-dyed 100g skein of 4ply/fingering weight yarn. It is a semi-solid yarn dyed purple.

The base yarn is 100% non-superwash Bluefaced Leicester. It was prepared and spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset. The yarn is soft and and has a shine from the natural lustre of Bluefaced Leicester wool.

I would recommend this yarn for all sorts of projects including garments and accessories. Most people would be comfortable wearing this wool next to their skin. I don’t recommend this yarn for socks.

Each 4ply/fingering weight 100g skein is approximately 350m in length.

The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
