Cerise is a hand dyed 100g skein of 4ply/fingering British Bluefaced Leicester and Masham wools. It is a semi-solid yarn dyed pink.
The base yarn is 75% British Bluefaced Leicester blended with 25% British Masham. It was prepared and spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset. The wool is naturally pale brown in colour giving any colour dyed over it a wonderful depth. The lustre from the BFL combined with the strength of the Masham makes it perfect for most projects including cardigans/jumpers, shawls, and other garments and accessories. I don’t recommend this yarn for socks.
Each 4ply/fingering 100g skein is approximately 400m in length.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
Please note that while all efforts have been made to provide an accurate colour representation, colours may vary on different monitors and devices so the shade may not be identical to what you see on your screen.
