100g skein of Cheviot Chunky dyed semi-solid Teal. This yarn contains 100% British Cheviot wool, was spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset.
This Cheviot Chunky has approximately 100m per 100g. It is a plump and deceptively soft yarn. While not soft in the same way as Bluefaced Leicester I don’t find the yarn itchy at all. It is springy and luxurious and would be great for all manner of items. A single skein is enough to make a hat, but it would be equally suited to a warm, thick winter jumper.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend to create felt. You can read more about how to care for your wool on the yarn care page.
Please note that colours may vary on computer monitors, so the shade may not be identical to what you see on your screen.
