The Colour Trios Yarn Club explores the amazing variety of results you can achieve from just a few dyes.
You choose your yarn base and skein size for the year, and whether you’d like variegated colourways, semi-solid colourways or both. Every three months I’ll pick three new dyes to experiment with and use them to create a new colourway each month. You can choose to receive the yarn monthly or bundle it together to save on postage.

1. Yarn bases and skein sizes:
100% Bluefaced Leicester:
Soft and suitable for most people to wear next to their skin, this versatile yarn is great for a wide range of accessories and garments. Not recommended for socks.
Available in 4ply (350m/100g) or DK (230m/100g) as 20g, 50g or 100g skeins
40% Bluefaced Leicester, 40% Shetland, 20% Alpaca:
Slightly more “woolly” than pure Bluefaced Leicester, but still soft enough for most people to to wear directly next to their skin. Suitable for a wide range of accessories and garments. Not recommended for socks.
Available in 4ply (350m/100g) or DK (230m/100g) as 20g, 50g or 100g skeins
Available in Aran (175m/100g) as 100g skeins
40% Bluefaced Leicester, 40% Shetland, 20% Silk:
A luxurious soft and lustrous yarn with a lot of drape and high stitch definition. Perfect for shawls, scarves and lightweight garments. Not recommended for socks.
Available in 4ply (400m/100g) as 50g skeins
100% Corriedale:
A versatile yarn which is soft but strong with high stitch definition. This yarn is good for socks (though please note that many people find it doesn’t last as long as a nylon blend for socks), accessories and garments.
Available in 4ply (400m/100g) as 100g skeins
2. Variegated, semi-solid or both colourways
Once you’ve chosen your yarn base and skein size, decide if you’d like to receive just the semi-solid colourway, just the variegated colourway, or both. If you choose both you’ll receive two skeins of yarn per month.
3. How often you pay and receive yarn
Pay every three months, receive every three months
Pay before the 10th of each third month to receive all of that three months’ yarn. Eg. pay between 10th December and 10th March to receive all January-March yarn in March. You get a discount for bundling postage.
Pay monthly, receive every three months:
Pay before the 10th of each month but bundle the yarn to all be sent in the third month. Eg. pay between 10th December & 10th January, then 11th January & 10th February and 11th February & 10th March to receive all yarn in March. You get a discount for bundling postage.
Pay monthly, receive monthly:
Pay before the 10th of each month to receive that month’s yarn. Eg. pay between 10th December and 10th January to receive January’s Yarn.

The yarn winding service will mean I wind your yarn into cakes. Please do not select this for 20g mini-skeins as it will increase their size from large letter to small parcel.
Price includes tracked UK postage for 50g or 100g skeins and bundles. Monthly mini-skeins will be sent using 2nd class large letter. International postage will be calculated at checkout.
Monthly clubs will be posted by the end of the third full week of each month. If you choose to receive every three months, yarn will be posted by the end of the third full week of March, June, September and December.
