This yarn is extra from the third British Yarn Selection Box.
I sourced this yarn directly from Exmoor Horn Wool. The wool is produced by a group of around 120 farmers, some with a handful of sheep and others with flocks over 1000. The wool is spun by John Arbon Textiles at a mill based on the edge of Exmoor ensuring the wool is produced and processed within a small area.
This yarn is composed of 70% Exmoor Horn and 30% Exmoor Blueface (which is a crossbreed of Exmoor Horn and Bluefaced Leicester). The yarn is fairly crisp so most people wouldn’t want to wear it next to their skin. It makes excellent outerwear or accessories.
Each DK weight 100g ball is approximately 230m in length.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
