Farmer Dixon – Ryeland DK

This yarn is extra from the second British Yarn Selection Box.

I sourced this yarn directly from Farmer Dixon, located close to the North East edge of Dartmoor in Devon. The farm specialises in rare breed animals and traditional farming.

Ryeland is a soft, springy wool with good elasticity. It works well for most projects although those with particularly sensitive skin may find it irritating for items such as scarves and shawls. The majority of Ryelands are white however it is not uncommon to find them in brown.

Each DK weight 50g skein is approximately 110m in length.

The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
