Gam Farm Rare Breeds – Hampshire Down DK

This yarn is extra from a single breed project which took place a couple of years ago.

I sourced this yarn directly from Gam Farm Rare Breeds. The farm is located in the Yorkshire Dales. Home to many rare breeds, the farm runs a breeding programme to increase numbers and genetic diversity.

Hampshire Down wool is dense, plump and resilient. It would work well in a wide range of projects.

Each DK weight 50g skein is approximately 165m in length.

The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
