This yarn is extra from the third British Yarn Selection Box.
I sourced this yarn directly from Gam Farm Rare Breeds. The farm is located in the Yorkshire Dales. Home to many rare breeds, the farm runs a breeding programme to increase numbers and genetic diversity.
This yarn is a blend of two plies of Hebridean and one ply of Whitefaced Woodland, causing the marled effect. Both Hebridean and Whitefaced Woodland wool is strong and robust, not usually suited for wearing directly next to skin. However its strength makes it ideal for outerwear.
Each DK weight 50g skein is approximately 110m in length.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
Please note that while all efforts have been made to provide an accurate colour representation, colours may vary on different monitors and devices so the shade may not be identical to what you see on your screen.
