“Leaf Litter”, a 100g skein of hand-dyed Laceweight Falkland yarn. This is a variegated yarn dyed in shades of browns, reds and greens. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
This is 100% Falklands yarn. While the exact breed is unknown, the majority of the sheep in the Falkland Islands are Corriedale so it is likely to be a large percentage of this. It is spun as a 2ply in England and dyed in Dorset. Each 100g skein is approximately 800m in length.
The yarn is perfect for shawls and other accessories. While it is soft and bouncy, the 2ply construction means it has good stitch definition which makes it ideal for intricate lacework.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend to create felt.
Please note that colours may vary on computer monitors, so the shade may not be identical to what you see on your screen.
