‘Peacock’, a hand dyed 100g skein of 4ply/fingering Corriedale & Mohair yarn. This is a semi-solid yarn dyed vibrant deep turquoise. This is one of the most difficult colours to photograph properly and while I have done my best to get it accurate, the photo doesn’t quite reflect the depth and vibrant nature of this colourway. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
This yarn is 50% Falkland Corriedale and 50% British Mohair. It is spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset. Each 100g skein is approximately 400m in length.
Although this yarn does not contain Nylon, it is suitable for socks because Mohair adds strength. The yarn has a wonderful lustre that is difficult to photograph, although every effort has been taken to photograph the yarn accurately.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend to create felt.
Please note that colours may vary on computer monitors, so the shade may not be identical to what you see on your screen.
