Spring Special 1 is a one off batch of Dorset Horn 4ply/fingering weight yarn. It is dyed a slightly dusty blue.
The base yarn is 100% non-superwash Dorset Horn. It was prepared and spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset. The yarn is plump and of medium softness.
I wouldn’t recommend this yarn for wearing directly next to sensitive areas such as the neck unless you are used to this kind of wool, however it would work well for other accessories such as gloves or hats. It would also work well as a garment that is worn over another layer.
Each 4ply/fingering weight 100g skein is approximately 350m in length.
The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
