Spring Special 3 – Falkland

Spring Special 3 is a one off batch of Falkland blend 4ply/fingering weight yarn. It is dyed variegated shades of green, pink, orange, and cyan.

The base yarn is a blend of wool from the Falkland Islands. It was prepared and spun in Yorkshire and dyed in Dorset. The yarn is soft with some lustre and drape, similar to Bluefaced Leicester in feel.

This yarn is perfect for wearing directly next to skin. It’s soft with some drape and would be perfect for shawls or scarves. It would work well for most items but I wouldn’t recommend it for socks.

Each 4ply/fingering weight 100g skein is approximately 350m in length.

The yarn has not been superwash treated so requires gentle hand washing unless you intend for it to felt. Due to the dyeing process no two skeins are identical.
