Summer Wool Festival Preparations – Day 4 (Thursday)

Today has been a busy day and I’m pretty tired! I started off by doing some last minute printing, then went into town for my usual weekly trip to the local shops. I picked up the last bits I needed for the show weekend too.

When I got back I made a crucial mistake and tried to save myself some time in the future. I filled up the windscreen fluid in my husband’s car as that’s the one I’ll be using for the show. I figured I’d do mine while I was at it and now the bonnet won’t close fully. I spent a good hour or two across the day trying to work out why, but everything that’s meant to move moves and nothing seems to be getting stuck anywhere. Luckily my husband doesn’t need to go anywhere while I’m away this weekend. I’ll have a proper look at it next week and I’m sure it’ll turn out to be something simple. I hope it will anyway as I’ve just realised I’ll need my car to drive to Bristol next Saturday!

I started packing up the car with the camping gear and display stands, wanting to get all the heavy lifting done today so I don’t have to do it twice tomorrow. There isn’t any parking directly outside our house so loading up the car requires a fair amount of walking. After that I started bagging up the yarn, replacing a few of the labels that were looking worse for wear while I was at it.

Other than that, I’ve been packing bits and pieces and making sure I’ve done everything I need to do. I’ve taken absolutely no pictures today, and feel like it’s taken far too long to get too little done.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I’ve not got too much to do, I think. I’m aiming to leave around 12pm so I should have enough time.

Oh and that sock? Still not finished. I’ll work on it this evening and if all else fails I can work on it tomorrow once everything is set up.
