Announcing Backorders

I’m making a small change to the way I do things. This should hopefully make it easier for me to manage how much stock I have, and for you to get the colourways you want on the yarn base you want. You may have noticed that on some yarns that the message “can be backordered” has appeared. For those yarns where I can easily repeat a colourway, I’ve allowed the option to place a back order. I’ve always been happy… Read More »Announcing Backorders

Yarn Updates, Dyeing and Show Preparations

As you likely saw, I managed to get the yarn update sorted, although I’m not entirely happy with the photos. Product photography has always been a bit of an sticking point for me. I thought the fact I took the pictures outside when it was cloudy and used a white background would make them better, but to me they look worse. I might try retaking them when I have more time. For example: I managed to get a lot of… Read More »Yarn Updates, Dyeing and Show Preparations

She’s designed a wonderful pattern with my 100% Falkland Corriedale High Twist sock yarn in the Violet Shadows colourway. The kit contains a printed copy of the Stravaig sock pattern (a code for a digital download is available on request) plus a skein of Corriedale sock yarn in the colourway of your choice. 2018 Bluebell Yarns Advent Calendar

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope it finds you happy and well. I thought it would be a good time for a quick update about what’s going on here at Bluebell Yarns. Bluebell Yarns had a rather successful 2018, with a couple of major events standing out. The first was the ‘Tits Out Collective’ yarn which raised a £108 for Dogs for Good. The second was the ever popular Advent Calendars. Here’s a peek at what one of them included:… Read More »Happy New Year!

Charity yarn is now live! (#titsoutcollective)

The #titsoutcollective yarn is now released! You can see mine here, and everyone else’s here. Follow #titsoutcollective on social media. Check back here tomorrow at 7pm to read about why I selected my chosen charity, Dogs For Good. My ‘If I wanted exposure, I’ll get my tits out (but I’ll need assistance)’ yarn is initially available as a small batch. When this sells out, I will open pre-orders. I will aim to get pre-orders dyed and shipped out within two… Read More »Charity yarn is now live! (#titsoutcollective)

Charity Yarn Release (#titsoutcollective)

On 1st July at 12pm (BST), something special is going to happen. I, along with over 200 others (the #titsoutcollective), will be releasing special yarns, patterns, bags and notions, with the aim of raising money for various charities. You can read more details at Countess Ablaze but here is a brief explanation. Back in March, Countess Ablaze was asked to provide yarn for a ‘charity’ event for nothing but exposure. In response, she dyed two special limited colourways, one of which… Read More »Charity Yarn Release (#titsoutcollective)

Happy New Year!

This time last year I was making grand plans for Bluebell Yarns. While there were various circumstances that caused a lot of these plans not to come to fruition I can still say that it has been a good year for the company. This year’s advent calendars sold a record amount – 48! I’d initially only made 42 so that’s an amazing result. I’ve loved seeing pictures and videos of people opening their little silver packages. Everyone seems to have… Read More »Happy New Year!
