For the last few weeks I have been dyeing, skeining and generally playing with yarn. All that is because on the 24th August 2015, Bluebell Yarns is opening.
I have been knitting for several years now, and I’ve been trying to buy British yarn for a good portion of that. A few months ago I found out how superwash yarn is treated. I decided I didn’t like that, so then tried to buy yarn that hadn’t been treated, as well as being British. It wasn’t too hard, until I started searching for hand dyed yarns. Then it became more difficult. Very difficult in fact.
For this reason, I decided to start my own little business, hand dyeing non-superwash, British yarns using all the pretty colours I’ve been missing.
